About the Project

The Undocumented Student Equity Project (USEP) is dedicated to conducting rigorous empirical research to inform institutional policies and practices that will advance equity and inclusion for undocumented students.

USEP was founded at the University of California, Irvine in 2015 as a collaborative effort among undocumented and allied undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty. It continues as an active collaboration that now extends beyond our own campus. It also aims to support the professional development of emerging undergraduate and graduate scholar-activists.

We hope that our research helps others in their efforts to create more equitable educational experiences for undocumented students.

Our Findings

We aim to use our research findings to inform institutional policy and practice. We feature our findings through a variety of outlets to maximize their impact and achieve this goal.
